Last week, I took in a fashion show on the High Line in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood. The High Line, once a section of a New York Central Railroad. is an elevated linear park of green space. The High Line's likeness to a runway made it the perfect spot for a summer fashion show.
New York City based designers teamed up with the assistance of local teens to put on the High Line Back-to-School Teen Fashion Show. I had a chance to speak briefly with fashion designer Tabitha St. Bernard to ask her about her collection. Born in Trinidad, she has a Caribbean influence mixed with a Brooklyn edge.
The show, which was surrounded by beautiful gardens in the summertime air, was delightful and definitely got me prepped for the upcoming fashion week.
