Summer breeze....
We drove a couple of hours out of Manhattan to Montauk. It makes you forget your hectic NYC life and slow you down to a relaxing pace.

We started out the weekend at Solé East in Montauk. With only 60 rooms, it has a European feel. We lounged poolside the first day with the dj mixing up some music. The food was delicious and the vibe chill. I will definitely go back. The staff was super friendly and so were the guests.

Here is a view of the lounge area by the pool.
We went to the Surf Lodge Restaurant for dinner and had delicious fish and rum cocktails!

The Surf Lodge is a hot spot in Montauk. Indoors, there is a lounge area where they play beach movies with subtitles....crazy, but fun!

The outdoor dining on the water got a bit chilly so I WISH I brought a jumper along!!
Since I plan on returning to Montauk ASAP for more summer festivities, I had to buy some new jumpers and knits! I wanted a beachy/boating feel. How fitting is it that I found items at Crew Clothing? I will always love blue and white when it comes to the summer and the beach so here is what I bought!

How do you get to wonderland?
Outfit: Top: Vintage Calvin Klein, Skirt: Anthropologie, Wedges: Straw, White Cuff Bracelet: H&M, Bangle Bracelets: Vintage, Necklace: Vintage pin made DIY necklace
There is a park amongst city high rises, street cabs and millions of people. It has delightful paths for running or biking, park benches for reading or people watching, lawns to throw a frisbee or just lay out and beautiful trees and gardens. We arrived early in the morning at Central Park and it was already abuz. On our walk through the park, we stumbled upon a white rabbit and a young girl. They were off to see the queen and we followed along!

St. John's US VI...
We decided to get away from the daily grind for a week. We stayed our first night in St. Thomas at the Ritz. Lovely staff and gorgeous view from the room and beach. The rest of the week was spent on St. John's. St. John's is well known for it's natural beauty due to restricted development, unlike St. Thomas and St. Maarten. It offers snorkeling, boating trips to the many bays, wonderful food, posh establishments, as well as campgrounds. The food is amazing and many restaurants offer views of the adjacent islands.

Peace Hill...hiking in flip flops?
Trunk Bay where the snorkeling took place! It is also listed as one of the top 10 beaches in the world according to many traveling magazines and sites such as the one listed here.

I'm going to the hukilau
Ok...so not going to a hukilau...a huki huki huki huki hukilau. It was a beautiful day, but not for fishing or swimming, like in Jack Owens "The Hukilau Song"; however, the rusty structures all around were actually a lovely setting. We stumbled upon them and had to take some shots! Hawaiian prints are back in, so hurry and purchase something Hawaiian before the summer is over! Also, check out the sales at Reiss. I scored these lovely comfortable wedges from Reiss. They happen to still be on sale and FYI, the Duchess of Cambridge happens to fancy Reiss. I'm practically royalty!

All about Kate...new fashion icon...
Alexander McQueen
People.com - Credit: Kevork Djansezian/Getty
When Kate married Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, she took on many new roles. One that she's fallen into, is fashion icon. She keeps her girly sex appeal while remaining classy and sophisticated in all of her looks. Whether it's every day wear or a formal gown, she doesn't fail to impress. Take note, she's also not afraid to wear the same thing twice. A little tip for everyone into fashion. ;)
Kate in khaki Reiss dress - Reiss's website crashed when this dress went on sale to the general public. On a side not, this is one of my favorite stores and they are having great sales right now! Reiss Website

Nothing but blue skies...
Outfit: Top: Vintage, Shorts: Forever 21 , Shoes: Pour La Victoire, Earrings: Vintage Givenchy, Bracelets: Vintage
Skies were practically clear and the day was especially hot. The sun made the colors in my outfit pop. We found this bridge, with a view of the Empire, that took us back to a little park in Brooklyn. I paired orange and blue together because their contrasting colors are very complimentary. The high waisted shorts are fabulous right now and the platform heel will never go out of style.
