Levi Strauss was the first man to manufacture blue jeans in San Fran, California in the 1850's. They were worn primarily by cowboys and miners, but today they are a huge part of American culture. Thank the Lord for Mr. Strauss! Jeans are now worn all around the world.
The double jean look is definitely one of my favorites. To avoid the pitfalls of denim on denim, I like to roll up my sleeves and make it a more casual look. I would probably avoid jean, on jean on jean as well. A jean jacket over this outfit would be going too far.
Now a few of the items I'm wearing are from Forever 21. I know you may be thinking to yourself "Why the heck is a 31 year old wearing Forever 21?" No I'm not dying to still be 21 again, maybe 28 though, but you can actually find good deals there. The shoes I'm wearing are more of a fad versus a staple. I'd rather buy them cheap and chuck them after the season. As far as denim goes, I do think it's advisable to buy some good quality denim. Even if the style goes out, it will always come back around. However, maybe not for 10 years.
